I am still dreaming. And to be honest, this is the hardest page I’ve been asked to write. If this gets too emotional, I apologize. That’s where my mind is at the time I’m writing this. And I’m not sure what the actual content will be about. So let’s see what dreaming can get you, or not.
Dreaming My Life Changes
Did you ever believe that your life was moving along so normally, that you had no reason to think there was something wrong? And then the next thing you know, BAM! Your world is flipped upside down. Well, that’s what happened to me, again. Now, I find myself still dreaming that my life changes for the better.
Without going into personal details, my “story” is like so many others I suppose. Girl meets boy. A relationship follows. Then Love, Life, and boom, it’s over. And while there are always extenuating circumstances and scenarios involving other people. The truth is, there are only two people involved. And neither walks away unscathed.
Dreaming Leads To Discoveries
I am so grateful to a friend of mine who gave me a place to stay. And while it’s easy to scream, and “man-bash”, I decided to take this opportunity to focus. Many people feel that because a relationship ends so does everything else. The hardest part is, I can’t believe I’m starting all over again essentially with nothing.
Yes, I have a job. So obviously I have a paycheck coming in. However, with inflation and the price of rent…well, need I say more? Now I realize this puts me in the “broken mentality” many of us experience when life doesn’t go the way we want.
But I have also realized dreaming leads to discoveries. For instance, the way I truly felt about this particular relationship. Some people just aren’t meant to be together, but this doesn’t mean they can’t be friends.
Moving Forward
Yes, some of the old stuff still comes up. Of course it will. I think that’s just a way of understanding and cleaning it out, so to speak. But it also makes me want to move forward.

First, don’t get me wrong. I know I have a bumpy road to ride on again. Second, I have the opportunity to help my friend adjust after losing both her parents. Third, this gives me the drive to stay on target for my goals.
